Holidays put us in anticipation of receiving gifts. It's always a blessing to receive a gift, especially one that is expected. There are times, however, when we receive a gift that we didn't know was coming or didn't come in the way we thought it would. As we celebrate Christmas and the holidays, let us rejoice that God sent Jesus, His only begotten son, in a way we didn't expect, as a gift to us all.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans[b] of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor bears a son, and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites. He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. Micah 5:2-5.

Chaplain’s Comments

March is here and hopefully Spring is not too far away. I know we are all looking forward to the pretty flowers and warm weather. Maybe with warmer times we will all feel better and be able to get out and enjoy Nature.

We continue to have several on our sick and in distress list, but a few are feeling better. Thanks for continuing to remember each one.
